We’re now moving forward in full swing toward our opening!
There’s so much to be done, but we’ve started with an on-site meeting to discuss the key renovation plans.
Our guesthouse sits on a small hill, just 400 meters—or about a 5-minute walk—from the Kumano Kodo trail.
We truly love this tranquil location, nestled in the forest, where you can relax and feel at peace.
This property came to us as a blessing from the gods of Kumano and through the kind support of many wonderful people.
With gratitude to everyone who has supported us, and by honoring the wishes of the former owner, we aim to create a warm and welcoming guesthouse and live in harmony with this community.

At first, the house may seem a bit old and worn, but with some cleaning, it shows the warm, nostalgic charm of a home from Japan’s Showa era.
As I peeked into the attic to check the structure, my imagination grew with all the possibilities of how this place could be reborn.

The spacious garden feels like it will be the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy yourself in peace, away from any outside distractions.
Just imagining our guests enjoying a drink and relaxing in this garden after walking the Kumano Kodo makes me excited!
My dreams just keep expanding more and more...!
